So I recently received a RFE asking for a copy of my birth certificate, which I'm pretty sure I included. The letter specifically states it must contain one of the following: A legible seal, a legible stamp, a signature with a title containing the words: secretary, registrar or births and deaths.

I only have one certified copy available and worried if I send a photocopy again, they won't accept it. I was born in Ontario so there was no need to translate it. Do you guys think I will be fine with sending a photocopy again? I'm just not sure why they're asking for this and worried I might be sending back the wrong thing. Thanks for the help!

From reading the forums, a lot of people unfortunately received RFIEs for birth certificates (me included) even after including one in their initial packets. I still don't know why they're requesting another copy.

I think you're fine with sending a photocopy, since that's what they were asking. I sent them another copy after getting an RFIE. We're now scheduled to be interviewed.

Damn, that is unfortunate but also relieving to hear. Thanks! I'll get right on that :) and good luck with the interview!
