Thanks all. It's just so frustrating! My fear is that the time it's taking to get the biometrics appointment will be a reflection of how long the process as a whole will take. Just about every encounter I've had with bureaucracy over here has taken longer than it should have - my social security card took over two months to arrive - so I don't have any faith or expectation that things will somehow speed up.

Nope. I have a service request in, and if I haven't heard anything after 30 days I should call them back
