Hi everyone,

My (Brazilian) fiancee's K1 visa petition was just approved today and will be sent to the consulate in Rio de Janeiro.

From what I've read, the medical exam must be done in the city where the beneficiary's application was sent, which means my fiancee would have to go to Rio for the medical.

Brasilia would be much more convenient for her as she has family around there, however. Is it possible for her to go to the doctor in Brasilia instead of Rio?

Thanks!

You’re incorrect. She can go to any of the embassy accredited doctors in Brazil. There aren’t many though, please look into the consulates website to see the list. Remember she can only set up an appointment when her interview is scheduled.
