Good day 

 

So my Police clearance isn't complete as it takes forever in South Africa. Been 8 weeks and nothing yet, my interview is tomorrow afternoon will I be denied or can I submit the PCC once obtained?

 

I spoke to the embassy and they said I should still attend the interview even without the PCC.

You should be fine to submit the PCC once obtained. Make sure you take any documentation to the interview that show your attempts to obtain the PCC - e.g. a case number, emails, phone logs, any confirmation it's in process.

Reviewed I-130 and I-485 approval letters - 02/07/2021

Greencard received - 02/11/2021

 

I-751 mailed to Phoenix PO Box via USPS - 11/7/2022

I-751 received at USCIS - 11/8/2022

Text notification received - 11/10/2022 (SRCXXXXXXX)

Check cashed - 11/15/2022

Received extension letter - 11/19/2022

That answers your question.  The Consulate Officer will give you a 221g requesting a police report.  Your case status will be either "Refused" or in "administrative processing" until you provide the requested document.......Hopefully, it won't be a long delay...good luck..

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
