Hi- I am wondering what others experiences have been after their case was sent to the embassy in Sydney. Ours left on the 28th of May , and is still "in transit." From other's timelines, it seems like some get a packet in a few days and others a little longer. I'm assuming they just haven't processed it yet, but I'm getting worried something else may be wrong? Thanks!

It seems like mail to Australia is taking forever these days.  It will be flown to Sydney Airport, and then has to wait until it passes through Customs inspection.  It really depends on what else was in the mailbag and the baggage "pod" in the airplane.  And, your packet won't show up again (on the USCIS system) until it arrives at the Consulate and is scanned into their systems.

Were you able to track it using Fedex?

Thanks for your reply! Sorry if it wasn't clear - our case was sent from NVC to Sydney Embassy. I used the DHL tracking hack that has been shared in the NOA2 to NVC forums, which has seemed to be pretty accurate for others. As far as I know, DHL says it has been physically delivered to the Embassy on the 4th. I'm seeing most people get their P3 a bit quicker than us (according to the few timelines that are recently updated), but maybe they're just a little behind on putting it in the system. That's what I'm hoping at least!

From what I understand, the document packets are delivered to a specific "mailroom" - which may or may not be physically located at the same place as the Consulate.  When someone at the mailroom picks up your packet it is scanned so that your status changes (it is no longer "in transit").  This first scan doesn't mean it is on an officer's desk.  It just means it is out of DHL's (sorry - not Fedex) hands and is back in the system.  Shouldn't be long - best of luck!

Ok- thanks! It must just still be waiting to be processed somewhere since the CEAC tracking status is still "in transit." Hoping next week brings good news, I guess!
