The reason for this tread is that multiples users have ask me what happens after your I-129F is approved and your NVC number is assigned how do I deal with Ecuador K1 process believe me is not a clear path. Basically you got to fight your way to the interview.

If you have already have your NVC case number you can track the case thru CEAC

CEAC Status are

At NVC

In Transit

Ready

normally they send petitions to embassys around the world every two tuesdays  every month

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV

If is states that is ready then you can start the process for your interview.

Here are the list of thing you must gather for your interview o better known as packet 3:

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/GYQ_Guayaquil.pdf

Then  You can set your interview here.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ec/iv

they will not send a letter for the interview everything will depend on you to move and get everything done Website is available in both spanish and english you must pay the interview before you can schedule one. Normaly appointments are on Wend-days  in Guayaquil Consulate because Quito’s embassy deals with other types of visas  (I could be wrong) but my fiancee is from Guayaquil so is was ok. If you are from other part of Ecuador you must do arrangement to be in Guayaquil on time they will let you in an hour before of your interview

Lastly you do the medical here my fiancee paid $300.00 here is the link with instructions and contact number for physicians in both Quito and Guayaquil:

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/translations/Guayaquil-Translation.pdf

Basically you must call them a do the medical at least a week before your appointment

I hope this helps. And Good Luck

Sounds like GYQ is under bad management again.  Just read the first 4 or 5 pages to see what those in my era went through:

You're not wrong.  GYQ is the only one that deals with K-1 & CR-1.

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

😎 I am right then. I came to that conclusion because Quito’s Embassy was never available for appoinment. So is confirmed that all ecuadorian must go to Guayaquil!

Thanks @TBoneTX

My fiancée is trying to schedule the interview, but the consulate is not even letting her schedule right now. Word is no interviews available for 37 days.

*SIGH*

I’m encouraging her to check back in every day. Here’s hoping something opens up sooner. Wedding is scheduled for November 9 in Orlando, but of course that’s tentative, pending the outcome of the interview.

Basically this works as brawl. First come first serve, they only do appointments on wendsdays right know we are stuck on how we get the passport with the visa  because is soo vague the info after the interview on what happens between the issue status on the ceac to visa on hand

keep looking I think one of the members here got an appointment for August

Really? Is so sad that this is like this if you are not on top of things you will never make it. Thank God she already has her visa on her hand because I was basically breathing on their necks.

But hey this is a small victory next is the POE I’m more scared of that than the actual AOS thing.

Hey guys!

We just created an account in the GYQ Consulate System to pay the fees and schedule a date for the interview but I can't even pay the fees. I mean, the system doesn't give us the option to pay for it. Do you know or have any idea about why I can't pay the fees?  Thanks

It wont let you because there no appoitment available to take. One of the users here set up an appointment for August so you have to basically wait up until something comes up. In my experience. On the first of the month they open a lot of appointments best of luck.

One more thing remember that you have to do it in the immigrant side not the non immigrant.

When I had this concern, an immigration abogado told me, "The CBP can refuse entry to anyone for the same reasons that a consulate can refuse to grant a visa.  However, most K-1/CR-1 entrants are not given a hard time, because CBP figures that they've recently been thoroughly scrutinized by the consulate."

Actually it turns out we did not get the spot. My fiancée went out to pay cash for the interview, the payment was accepted, but when she came back to set the appointment there were now no interview appointments available.

Oh well! At least the payment is in. So hopefully this won’t happen next time.
