Hello! I need some help and advise if this is your case; so I applied for citizenship and my interview will be on April 29 and planing to travel to my country for couple weeks on April 30 and of course I will keep eye on my ceremony and make sure I don’t miss it!!

Reading I notice that in the ceremony you have to listed if you have travel outside of USA after your interview.. my question since I have a trip after my interview; my trip will affect my process for the citizenship?

Thank you guys!

I travelled outside of US as well after my interview and had to answer a lot of questions to the officer present at the time of oath ceremony.

He sent 2 other people back and cancelled their ceremony. He also advised them that need to get their finger prints redone and get a police certification from the country they visited. Not sure how long they were outside of the country.

So not sure what their process is but I think if you have good past physical presence, you will be fine.

Thank you so much for the information! In the last five years I only had four trips that total 52 days and also because I been working and you know getting vacation approved is not easy, you mind me ask you how long you stay outside of USA after your interview and what questions the officer did to you? Just to be prepare :) thank you again for your time

I was out for 30 days but I said a month. The officer asked me to be specific and give a number like 29 days, 30 days or 31 days lol. So just count the days and give specific information. He also asked how many trips I have made in last 3 years and how many days in total, how many countries I have visited.

Hope this helps.
