Hi all,

We got our NOA2 on Friday just gone (April 5th), and now we're waiting out the 2-3 weeks before contacting the NVC to find out our case number.

Am I right in thinking that once we have the NVC Case number, I can book my medical exam and fill out the DS-160?

And then how do I go about booking the interview, and what's the current waiting times for a spot?

Thank you!

What!?! You haven't been reading all these threads in this UK forum to learn what to do? You will learn so much by reading all the questions and experiences. You spent way too much time in that October 2018 thread.  Start reading(not the pinned threads). The info is in here a thousand times.

😛🤣😂😎

It’s also worth noting. I have no idea how to use these regional threads 😂

It's just like the K1 forum.

Start by learning what London's instructions to K1s are. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Know the basics before you try shortcuts.

Read what the clinic wants you to bring to your medical and get that in hand http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us-bring.htm

You've got a couple of weeks to immerse yourself in London K1 processing and getting your ducks in a row. And reading all the experiences and silly questions of worries people have will put your mind at ease. It's a doddle.

No. Outdated. Procedure has changed. Links are broken. The shot guide is valid in the first post.

I figured as much. The information on the embassy page is pretty much what I needed anyhow.

Thank you

Get everything you need for the medical asap because the medical comes first and sometimes NHS is slow to help you. The medical website lists a lot and Embassy covers it some too.

Its fine for you to fill our the DS-160 at any time and simply save it - the document can either be stored in the system for 30 days or saved directly on your device to be reuploaded at any time. I waited until I got my number to submit it too.

I booked my medical the day after getting my NVC number, it seems like most people do that. Last time I called Knightsbridge they had many spots still open end of April and May - so availability shouldn't be a big issues either.

Just start gethering all the documents you need for the medical and interview, which can be found here

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/

http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us-bring.htm (this is identical to the information that Knightsbridge has sent me via email)

Perfect - I will wait on submitting the DS-160 until we get our NVC number (hopefully not much longer) and then book the medical exam.

Have you any idea on interview times or have you not got that far yet?

Wasn't able to book my interview yet, but I saw other people posting that there is lots of availability for May. So as soon as I know something, I can let you know 😊
