I am filing for n-400 online this month. But me and my husband have a overdue from 2016. So we entered in a payment plan. My question is does anyone know if this will affect my naturalization? I already plan to submit the payment plan too when I finally file it online. I just want to know if they will refuse my application or not! If it does, i won’t Apply for naturalizations untill we have paid it all. Also if anybody was in this situation, can you tell me how did u explain this in the form or the cause behind it. Me and my husband had a rough year that time. That was only the reason.

hi

no, as long as you have filed taxes and have a payment plan, no problem, you don't have to send the payment plan

Thanks for quick response. But don’t i have to prove it? Can u tell me how should i explain the reason? Because in part 12 question #6 they asks u to explain when u choose yes that u owe overdue taxes.
