Felt tip pen shows through a bit on photo side of my passport photos for AOS - is this okay?

Hi everyone,

So, my question should be pretty clear from my topic title... I am in the final stages of assembling my adjustment of status application from entering on a K1... having to submit 6x 2"x2" passport photos (2 for the i-485, 2 for the i-765, 2 for the i-131).

I had them taken at Costco, and I've written my name and A-number on the back of each of the 6 with a black felt tip pen like the instructions say to... the thing is that when I look at the photos, either holding them in my hand in between my thumb and index finger at the edges, or putting them on a piece of blank white paper, I can see what I've written on the back of the photos, at least somewhat.. it isn't too bad but it is definitely semi-visible. The pen hasn't pressed through the photo paper or anything though... so that's something I guess (I'm assuming that's why they say to use felt tip pen).

Is this likely to cause any problems/trigger an RFE/whatever?

Please advise!

Thanks so much!

They are using them to identify you only for the background checks because prior photos (ie in your passport and on the K1 visa) may not reflect your current appearance. You will get photos done for the actual cards (Combo/GC) at your biometrics appointment.
