Unable to check AOS status via phone, but shows up online

Context: NOA1 date is January 10, 2019 and I had my biometrics on January 29, 2019.

The online statuses for my AOS/EAD/AP applications still say "Case received", so I decided to give USCIS a call and check through their automated system.

I was able to get updates for EAD and AP, but when I typed in my AOS case number, the system said "Status for this receipt number cannot be found at this time in this automated system".

I can view AOS status online, but not via phone? Thoughts? I'm hoping its just a glitch, but I might call again and try to speak to an agent!

Thanks so much!

When I check online it shows up as received. When I call I can’t get any information though. I filed December 5th 2018, receipt came on December 10th 2018. We are hoping to get married on August 17th, 2019 (we have already paid for everything in advance and already sent out the invitations so we are hoping it is approved soon). I really wish it was possible to speak to an agent about it when you called instead of the automated system. Best of luck on your journey!

Thanks for the response!

I ended up calling and speaking to an agent through the "There is something wrong with my case" option. They told me that they don't always update the online portal and phone system promptly, so it's best to wait for hardcopies in the mail!

Ahh best of luck to you too! I recently went through the K1 process in Canada (I moved to NorCal and am AOS pending now), so don't hesitate to reach out via inbox if you need any help!!
