Can i file reentry permit while i-751 is pending?

I filed my i-751 in December 2017 and am still waiting. My status recently changed to "date of birth was updated" from transferred to Nebraska.

 

Now I have to go to my country to stay for a year . So I have to apply reentry permit to stay out of the states for more than 6months.

 

Can i apply reentry permit while i-751 is pending?

 

Any ideas?

Technically you can — but any re-entry permit granted to a CPR will have the same expiration date as your conditional green card, and since that has already expired... well you can see the problem.

Haha yes. My conditional green card expired a year ago. I guess i just have to wait until i get my i-751 green card.

is that correct? some people just told me on my post that you have pending removing of conditions your reentry permit will last until the end of the "extension letter"...even if they GC is expired
