Gender/Name Birth Certificate Mismatch K-1

Hiya,

Me and my partner will hopefully be starting our application (UK foreign fiance) and before we do so, I wanted to check in with someone. I'm trans and whilst all of my current details are labelled as both female and my current name, my birth certificate is still in male/old name due to how hard it is to change. I have evidence of the name change and plenty of medical records, but I'm worried about any problems this could cause.

Does anybody have any advice/similar experiences over how to navigate this?

Thank you.

I would say that as long as you have proof of everything you'll be fine, you can always right a letter accompanying the application and attach it to the extra evidence sheet at the back.  I would assume this is just the same process as if you had changed your name through a previous marriage or something like that.
