My Green card and my passport have expired but i am a permant residence and i have filled for my n400 and i got an i797 receipt of notice and i also got my biometrics done and everytime i check my case status it says " As of July 9th 2018" we are actively reviewing your n400 form im just wondering why is it taking so long to schedule and interview can anyone help me? Also i need to prove to my job they said i can get a extension letter or a stamp on my passport but my passport is expired any one know what i can do please help

Hi.  If you did your biometrics in July 2018 and are in the NY office then this is normal.  Generally interviews seem to be taking 10-12 months to schedule.  There's a July 2018 N400 tracking thread on here in case of interest.
