CRBA in Manila. Appointment scheduling and DNA testing questions.

Greetings!  We are preparing to apply for our child's CRBA, and I need to plan a trip to the Philippines to attend to this.  The Embassy website says you can schedule an appointment up to two months ahead.  Does anyone have experience with scheduling their appointment for a certain day or week?

Also, for anyone who was required to have DNA testing, how long after the interview was the sample taken?  Is this something that can be done the same week as the interview?  Or were multiple trips to Manila required?

Thanks for any info.  I plan to contact the embassy asking the same questions, but its good to hear an applicants experience, also.

I just did this. You need to send application and then they tell you when your appointment is. They asked for dna testing. I contacted the lab the same day. 7 business days later the samples were taken. I paid to have results expedited so we had results 3 business days after samples taken. Stay on top of things and I'd allow yourself 3 weeks in Manila to make sure all is accomplished.
