I went for my medical appointent and they said my name doesn't match in their system. The doctor said he has to email the consulate and wait for a reply before completing my medical package and just go to the interview without the medical package. It's been 3 weeks and my interview is Feb 1st and still no word. The only thing the doctor said about the 'mismatch' is that there is a new e-medical system that the US government is using and someone entered my name different then it reads on my passport.

Anyone experience this? I am kind of freaking out.

SAVE database issues are common.  Our first and middle names are often combined.

I would be emailing the consulate yourself and checking your paperwork.

After attending my interview the consuler office said he would send something to the doctor and I should have my medical in the "next couple days". It's been a week and the doctor is claiming to have not received anything. Typically how long does it take to clear up these issues?  Should I be contacting the consulate again?

I haven't a clue since most people have it done beforehand.  Which panel physican did you go to? Do you know exactly which panel physician the CO said he'd send the information?  I would contact the consulate.  Be very specific about your request to try and avoid canned answers
