USCIS approved my mother's application on October 19 and sent the file to NVC on October 25.... but I've still not received any correspondence from NVC yet. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive an invoice number from NVC since I'm unable to track the status online?

Thanks

6-8 weeks

check the status on USCIS and see what the date is that it says sent to department of state, if it has been past the 6-8 weeks, give them a call and see if they have created the case # yet.

USCIS website says file was sent to NVC on October 25

looks like this would be going into week 6, however take into account the federal day off for the funeral and the holiday for thanksgiving, it might be another week or so, but you can call and ask them via phone if there is a case # yet.
