Hello Everyone!

I applied for my fiancee who lives in Ahmedabad for a Fiancee Visa and got our NOA 1 on October 5, 2018. I have a planned trip to visit her again in December/January. I have some few questions while waiting for NOA 2 and NVC And Embassy stage

1) While i'm there could my fiancee get her PCC certificate so that way we don't have to wait on it when we receive the checklist from Embassy in Mumbai?

2) I will be gathering more proof (pictures and stuff) so she could take with her to the interview, but what documents should i take with me so that way i don't have to send her anything in the post mail? Are copies okay?

Are there anyone else who filed for K1 during the same time as me? If so comment here so we can share information when we receive our approval.

I would recommend getting started on the regional PCC sooner rather than later. Sometimes the people at the office drag their feet or want a bribe, especially if they know you're in a rush.  Same goes for her birth certificate if she doesn't have one.

For your second question, refer to this list:

For some of these, it may not be practical or advisable to have the originals out of your hands for several months, or they may become outdated (proof of your income such as recent paystubs) by the time your fiancee has her interview. Better to have more recent data sent via DHL when the time comes than to get an RFE and be postponed, in my opinion.

I'd recommend focusing on documenting your time together while you're there.
