Timeline

Hi all,

I find myself coming here everyday to learn more about the K-1 visa process and to compare timelines, when I look at some timelines they say "touched" what does that mean? Also in the comments of my timeline it says "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as July 25, 2007*" who wrote that? What does it mean? I'm sure I will have more questions through out my journey.

Thanks for your help!

Check out this link for some comprehensive info about 'touches'.

A touch means that your case has been handled in some way, if only to be moved from one corner of an adjudicator's desk to another.

Your estimate of adjudication is a calculated date which is an *** estimate *** based on exisiting timelines averages. It's the date when you can expect an yes/no about your visa approval.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Yes/No on your PETITION approval - not your visa. The petition simply allows you the privilege of interviewing for a visa at your consulate.

(I know that was a typo JenT!)
