we updated your name for your Form I131

Hello every body,

 

I applied for a re-entry permit (form I-131) last July.  I did the biometrics in August. Today, I received a notice from USCIS saying that they updated my name on October 22nd !! . I did not ask for a name change !!

 

I read in other places that it could mean they started looking at my application to make a decision.

 

Does anyone has a similar experience and can tell what does this mean and what may happen next ?

I got this status update in my green card application I also did not ask for a name change.

I called my lawyer she called the USCIS right away And they said my name was the same as it was before.

And after 2 or 3 weeks from that time my greencard got approved and I got it today:-)

You might get your re entry permit soon too.

Wow congratulations. How long did it take total time from the time you applied? I just applied for re entry permit too. I filed my application last week.
