So for the passport style photos I recently had to get a new passport and got extra photos after the photo shoot i plan on copying my US birth certificate and my passport to be safe when sending it in.  But i want to use the extra passport photo i have as the passport style photo do you think that wold be alright or should i just do it again? Also on the I-129f application when there asking for your mothers name is it her original maiden name or her current name, because it just says family name and i dont want this to be a reason for denial..... Thanks Jake

They want your mother's full legal name. So that would be the name she is using now. You can use the extra photos as long as they meet current requirements.
