My step daughter got her crba and passport cancelled due to her dad not meeting the required period of time. He is an american citizen by birth. Her grandfather does however have the required time to pass citizenship. Im not sure is we can apply for this since the instructions are very clear if you were given automatic citizenship through INA sections 301,309,320. She had and they took it away since they made a mistake. Some light on this matter? We live in Mexico. Also she was born out of wedlock, what kind of evidence do they require to prove that he is the parent besides her birth certificate? Its cofusing and at the uscis they dont help

  • Normally birth certificate should work fine.  They rejected the application because her dad did not meet the presidency requirement. So I do not see there is any issue with using birth certificate as the proof.  Other documents like DNA test can be submitted using an accepted lab, school records, etc.
  • Read the requirements on N-600K to determine if your child and her dad meet them all (No. 5 may be an issue).
