I-751. Day 46, no notice and check hasn't been cashed.

I know the USCIS is struggling right now, but 46 days without a notice of action?! Is anyone else going through the same thing? My service center is California, which from what I've gathered is supposedly the worst of them? I sent my application in with UPS August 09th. The tracking told me it had arrived by August 13th.

I called their customer service today, took 20 minutes before I got to talk to a lady. (It took me some massive guts to do this, as I have social anxiety and avoid talking on the phone unless my life depends on it.) She confirmed that they don't have any information concerning my application in their database and wanted to send me to talk to another person. "Press 1 for..." But it refused to acknowledge my pressing on the keypad, so the phone call was lost in the end and I ended up in tears with full on panic attack, frustrated and sad over the whole situation.

My green card expired 2 days ago. "Luckily" I don't have a job, so it doesn't actually complicate things that much for me, but I feel like I'm doing something illegal 'cause I cannot prove that I'm still here legally.
What should I do? Should I just keep waiting? Is scheduling an infopass necessary? I DO live near an office, but I don't have a driver's license or a car, so my husband would have to take time off work and it is going to be very much frowned upon.

What is the "general" wait time now? Does anyone know? It would calm me down a bunch if I could hear at least one person say they are in the same boat. I'm sorry if this is somehow repetetive. This site confuses me a lot and I don't use it unless I really feel I need to.

I submitted my case two years ago so don't know what processing times are like just for cashing the check, though I have heard things are taking a lot longer. First it was the processing times for actually adjudicating the case went way up, then the biometrics took too long to come out (to the point that a lot were waived) and now it seems like even getting the NOA out is killing them. I have social anxiety and a phobia of using the phone too so believe me when I say I feel your pain here. I'm honestly not sure what you can get out of an infopass, maybe you'll get lucky and receive a stamp, maybe you'll get unlucky and they'll just tell you to wait.

I did try searching for some threads for you, but the search feature on this website doesn't seem to work. Maybe the people who filed at the same time as you have some more insight into what's going on: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/680167-i-751-august-2018-filers/

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I'm in the same boat too. My GC expired September 9th. And they (California SC) received the ROC packet 30 days ago. Thank God my work hasn't asked for anything so far.

I guess I have 2 or 3 more weeks to go before they cash my money order or I hear from them. I check every week if the money order has been cashed or not.

My driver's license has expired too and I m stressed because I still drive to go to work.

Good luck
