Hello everyone! My fiancé and I are currently waiting on his K1 visa. On September 10th, the status in the NVC website was issued. How long does it usually take to actually receive the visa and passport? We’ve been hearing different things so just wanted to hear about some real life experiences. Thanks!

Usually it takes a week. You will be notified  as soon as Embassy already sent it to the courier to be delivered or picked up by the owner.

It was about a week for us.

Exactly a week for us.
Got an email from the embassy the day they shipped it advising to wait 24 hours before tracking, and another email after we picked it up-

Hello I'm in the same situation than you my visa was issued on the 10th September. I had the interview at the US Embassy in Paris on the 5th September and until now I didn't receive any email to follow my mail with the passport and visa and I have my flight on the 26th

Rule #1: Avoid buying tickets until passport with visa is in your hands. This advise helps avoid stress.
