Hey i had a question for those about to file the DS160 or who have in the past. What questions are going to be asked on it so my fiancee knows how to appropriately answer because I know some can be tricky like the one about having vaccinations. ( apparently you answer yes since you are getting them at the medical before interview?)

I wish I could be there when she fills it out but thats not possible and I would hate for a major mistake to be made.

You can filll it out for her online and then she has to be the one to submit it on the final confirmation page. There is an option to save it and she will have to login with the security code and questions you select.

Also vaccinations aren’t required for k1 but will be required for adjustment of status. So you won’t need them now but they are gererally cheaper to get them in your fiancés country then doing them when she gets here. Although After your married and she’s on your health insurance plan all vaccinations are covered under the affordable care act.

Someone else had mentioned on the forums being asked if they had their vaccinations yet. They were told to answer yes since they would be taken before the interview.

I am sure she has some vaccinations such as measles, mumps, tetanus, etc.   So you should be safe to answer yes.

BTW.  Most of the time the beneficiary will need to get a tetnus booster (this is done every 10 years) and they probably havent received Hep b vaccine.  This is a newer vaccine so many adults in other countries havent received it.  It is a 3 shot vaccine over a period of 6 months.  For immigration purposes the US government will be satisified on the adjustment of status form if you have recieved the first shot You are on the honor system to get the remaining 2.

When you go to the medical you will want your fiance to bring her medical card with her to the interview that shows the vaccines that she has received. The Doctor will put that into her medical packet which she will provide to CPB upon POE.  At POE CPB will proivde your fiance with the vaccination record which you will need for adjustment of status.
