Hi everybody!

I've been trying to find how long is taking to Schedule appoinment in the consulate for K1 visas but, by far, I only found that is taking up to 3 months for CR1. Does someone currently on K1process knows?

Thank you in advance :)

It took us 3 months and 10 days to secure an appointment spot from the day were Ready in the NVC site.
Most people are within this time frame in these days.

Idk if you have the answer to my question but it’s worth a shot. We just got the email from the nvc that we were approved and our case is in transit. Can I or should I turn in the ds-160 form and set up the interview or do I have to wait till we receive mail from the consulate?

Congrats!! For what I've been reading, after approval you need to wait around two weeks so NVC can give you a case number and after that you can set an appoinment. I might be wrong but maybe @ThisCharmingMan21 @AndyAspen or even @BJ & Christine can help?

It's my understanding u can't schedule interview until embassy has ur information. U can contact ur embassy and ask them these questions and they will be able to tell for sure.

provided link to USA embassy in Mexico for u to read.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

It actually took us 1 day to get received and then 1 day to for it to become “ready” once’s u have the DS-160 confirmation number and pay the fee you can schedule an appointment right away. Right now they are roughly mid feb early March

When the nvc receives you case they give u a case number and a invoice number. Case nimber is CDJxxxxxxxxxx use that on the ceac website and it will tell you if it’s on route or received or ready.
