My fiancé made a mistake on my date of birth when he filled the K1 petition form.my date of birth is 11th july 1981 but he filled 11th July 1982.he sent a letter with copies of my birth certificate and international passport that effect but the NVC replied saying

"As the file is no longer at the NVC, we are unable to honor your request to change the date of birth. Please contact the assigned US Embassy or Consulate General for further information"

He had also sent a mail to the US embassy in my country (nigeria)

I hope this mistake will not affect my chances of getting the visa

Thanks...I sensed that mentioning "husband" was a way of finding out if we had done any kind of marriage ceremony
