Hi All,

I am being laid off from my job on July 24th 2018 and our AOS interview is on August 8th 2018. Will this affect the AOS if I don't have a job by the time of the AOS Interview. Thanks.

Are you the USC? What was your 2017 income? Do you have a co-sponsor/ability to have one?

What does your asset situation look like? Bring in current pay stubs and start your job search now, if you haven't already. I doubt it would be an issue. I'd be prepared to show proof of assets, just in case. Worst case, they would request more information, would would give you time to get a co-sponsor/job.

Plus, I assume you'll qualify for unemployment?

I appreciate it. I hope someone who knows exactly what would happen, if they find out, chimes in. However, I know the unpredictable nature of USCIS.
