police record

Timeline

so i just saw that some peeps just went to the police station with NOA1 and got the police record.

i thought i need to wait for NVC number in order to get the police record in Japan.

someobe please kindly advise!!

You don't need to wait for NVC number.

 

You can use either NOA1, NOA2 or NVC mail. 

All it needs is to have your name, receipt number (WAC Number is sufficient), And the paper to say fiance visa or petition at one place.

 

I got mine with NOA1.

so is it ok if I get the record now even though I am Feb 2018 Filer which means I still have couple more months to get NOA2.... sigh...

Don’t get it too soon, as it will only take a week or two. 

 

I would get it the the moment I see February filers are starting, so it would be recent enough even if your interview is scheduled late :) 

 

i got it in march and had the interview today so it was 2,5 months apart.
