K1 Final interview questions

Hello! I'm nearing the final interview with the US Consulate in Sydney Australia.
My questions are, How long is the interview?

Does it go for more than one day?

Or is there possibly someone I can contact to find out? (I guess calling the embassy directly is best?)

I'd like to know so I can plan my flight and hotel around this.

The interview itself is typically brief.  More time is spent just waiting.  You shouldn't need several days, unless you have to return for your passport with the visa.  I would look at the consulate reviews for Sydney to see what people had to do right after.  Usually they will courier it to you, but every place is different.

 

For the hotel, you likely will be there past checkout time.  So you may want to leave your things with the bellhop if you plan to not stay after that or get a late checkout.  A 7AM appointment can last till 11 or later, depending on how many people are there that they process ahead of you.

Be aware, embassies typically don't allow phones.  Some let you store them in a locker as you go in , others don't.  Best to leave your phone at the hotel.

Thank you so much for the insight, I booked the hotel for two nights so that I leave the next day after the interview day and arrive before it so that I have the entire day of the interview I wanted to know if there is any chance they'd need me for a second day. As for the reviews you mentioned where might I find them?
