Hello everyone, may i ask if anyone here has the same situation as mine about lacking of police certificate from Japan, so i got done with my visa interview last April 23, 2018 unfortunately i wasn't aware that i really need to submit a police clearance from Japan, it happened that I worked there  for almost a year and the consular officer told me to submit that document and they will get back to my case, he instructed me to go to the releasing window, so i went there and a woman called my name and gave me instruction how to obtain the police clearance, she said that I will receive an email from them. So i checked my email and got their email stating the documents that i needed to submit. Before going to Japan Embassy I read blogs first (just to make sure that I won't messed up) about Police Clearance, most of the blogs  telling that they had a letter/ Request from US embassy that they will be needing in their police clearance request in Japan Embassy. So in my case I didn't receive any letter from the USEM all i got is an email. so even though i was kinda worried that Japan Embassy would not acknowledge my request because i don't have a letter from USEM i still went there around 3pm (April 23) the japanese guy asked me if i have a letter from USEM and i said I don't have,I only got  an email from them, thank god the japanese guy didn't insisted/ask me to present a letter from USEM instead he gave me a piece of paper for fingerprint in camp crame. April 24, 2018, i got done with my fingerprint at camp crame and went back to japan embassy to submit it, they gave me a form and i filled out then after that the woman told me that they will send it to japan and they will call me once they receive my police clearance. The japanese woman told me to wait 2-3 months, so now i am in the time of waiting but I'm kinda worried that they will be asking for a letter from USEM  once i'm going to pick up my police clearance since most of the blogs that i read they submitted a letter to Japan Embassy. just wanna share my experience and to know if there is someone who had a same situation like me. Sorry if it took too long to get to my point.

The email ... IS the letter from the embassy.   If they processed everything then I doubt they will ask for the "letter", but if they do want it, simply print out the email.
