Hello...We just got our packet 4 with medical appointment and interview date. It has a list documents we need for our interview at the embassy. One of the documents listed says documentation of entry and exit from country. My fiancee is Colombian and has never left the country. Does anyone know what this document is and where we get it? Do we need it even if she has never left the country?

thanks

AOS -K2 Based for 8 year old daughter...wife already has green card in hand and daughter was brought over via join to follow - K1.

If your fiance has never been outside the country, then there is nothing to document. For most people/countries - their passport is their best documentation of leaving/entering the country (as an FYI)...

No, no, no. It is not the same in Colombia. Please tell your fiancée to go to the DAS offices to get:

1. Certificado Judicial (Police certificate)

and

2. Certificado Migratorio (Migratory Movement Certificate)

She has got to do this before the interview. If she lives in Bogotá she can get the migratory movement doc in about 3 days to process. If not, it will take about 30 days.

Please try to catch up on the Colombian Club threads here on VJ to get more info.
