Hello,

first thank you for the spectacular website!

I'm filing by myself for the marriage green card  and I found tons of informations here! Awesome community Thank you, Thank you!

I have few questions please:

FORM I-130

Page 3:

38) Have you obtained a Certificate of Naturalization or a Certificate of Citizenship?

Yes

My wife never got back the Certificate after applying for the US Passport (She got the US Passport 1 year ago and I'm including copies of all pages with the application)

what should I write under:

39.a. Certificate Number

39.b. Place of Issuance

39.c. Date Of Issuance

39.a. Certificate never returned by USCIS after passport issuance. (Is anything like this acceptable?)

39.b. Place of Issuance N/A

39.c. Date Of Issuance N/A

FORM I-485

  1. Have you EVER been arrested, cited, charged, or detained for any reason by any law enforcement official (including but not limited to any U.S. immigration official or any official of the U.S. armed forces or U.S. Coast Guard)?

YES

I got 2 speeding tickets.

If I write:

MM/DD/YYYY

Speeding Ticket - Los Angeles (CA). Fines Paid and Traffic School Attended. Driving Record Cleaned.

for both is it going to be enough?

Or do I have to go to the courts to ask for the paperwork for each case?

FORM I-864 Affidavit of Support

I'm including the last 3 years of tax returns for myself and my wife (2017 was already jointly filed) to prove we are over the poverty guidelines.

Do I have to include proof of income and letter of emplyment from her emplyer and also the salary  and tax reports fro my company or is not necessary? (I'm an E2 Investor Visa Holder already in US) or are the Tax returns for the last 3 years enough for this form?

- I got the sealed letter from the medical exam, do I have to include it in the package I will send out or do I have to keep it for the in-person interview?

- Is the total check for the marriage green card $1760 total?  (I'm already in US)

This is my checklist, please let me know if anything is missing:

G-1145 e-Notification

Check for $1760 to Department of Homeland Security

I-130 The Visa Petition

I-130A Background Checks

I-131 Advance Parole

I-485 The Adjustment Application

I-765 The Employment Form

I-864 The Affidavit of Support

Marriage Certificate

Petitioner Proof of Citizenship - US Passport Copy

Beneficiary Civil Documents (Birth Certificate + I-94 + ITA Passport Copy)

Documentary Evidence of Relationship (jointly bank account, phone bill, car insurance)

15 Photos of Marriage Ceremony + Vacation with family members

Proof of Taxes Paid 2015 - 2016 - 2017

There is anything missing? Many thanks!

Is this a visa process, or are you adjusting status from within the US?

Hello,

thank you for your reply!

It’s an adjustment of status, I have an E-2 investor visa and I have been in US for 7 years, I live in Los Angeles. Now because I got married and my wife is american I would like to get a green card moving out from E-2 status.

Thanks for being so sarcastic. If you have found the total then why you asked me to google it? If you think you’ll get an answer to your concern on google, then why you are here on VJ??  This site is for helping other people, thats why you are here. But anyway, im not interested anymore if how much because I got good people who respond to my querry. Nobody replies you because you are only good on asking but not willing to help. Goodluck to you!
