Petitions delayed in London after Embassy move?

Hello!

Have been scouring the forum looking for anyone else who submitted an I-130 petition for a spouse in late January or early February, so that I can get a sense of when the petition is likely to be processed. Has anyone else filed petitions around the 8th of February and either received or are still waiting on the Approval and Case Number?

Nb I've had to email the Embassy on more than one occasion about the total irregularity of the online processing times updates since the Embassy move to Battersea at the beginning of the year.

In this Monday's update, the processing date only moved forward TWO DAYS since the previous update THREE WEEKS before. This seems like a shocking disruption for a USCIS branch known for speedy processing times (4 weeks on average last year). Here's my tracker:

(As of X ... Reviewing petitions filed on Y)

FEB 05 ... DEC 07

FEB 13 ... DEC 07

MAR 19 ... FEB 01

MAR 28 ... FEB 05

APR 16 ... FEB 07

Has anyone else experienced any delay in London recently, or had any luck asking for the  petition to be expedited?

Also grateful if anyone knows if it really will take 6 weeks for the approval to be delivered INSIDE THE EMBASSY to the IVU for a case number to be assigned? 🤔

Hi JMatts

Yes, I've had the same senario as you can see on my signature.

I deposited my petition very late in December, so I went through Christmas, the Battersea move AND Easter. Crazy.

Throughout the waiting I kept looking at the dates moving. Sometimes they didn't move, sometimes they got the wrong day of the week (Friday seem to be the correct update day) sometimes it would jump, but however eclectic these dates are, they actually seem to reflect the correct progress speed at which they process the petitions, so I would just sit tight (I did for 17 weeks because of all the holidays and the move) and wait for the dates they give, however erratic they look.... they are correct in my experience.

Don't go by my dates though, they are the worse case scenario.

Let us know how you get on.... it's about to be your turn!!!

Are you now waiting for the IVU to issue a case number or have they already? I can't actually see your timeline after initial I-130 though I get the idea from your earlier posts 😬

Ah... you must be on your cell.

I'm not quite sure where I am now.

They actually reacted on March 14 from having filed on December 28.

My I-130 was approved 2 days ago so i am waiting for the post.

I believe there is some waiting between the approval and the case number but I am not certain of what I need to do in the meantime.

I've attached my profile here for you as a snapshot

Ha, you were right! My NOA2 arrived in post today, so looks like I'm about a day behind you. Petition filed 12 Feb, approved 18 Apr. (And I thought the dates on the letter were confusing too!)

Will be watching your updates closely! 😬

I haven't received a number yet but I think It would be wise that I start setting in motion my Police certificate without delay.

My record should be no trace but if it is no live trace it woukd delay it all by 6 weeks.

Just keeping you in the know ☺
