Affidavit of support question

I had sponsored my mother back in 2007 to come to the US.  

 

My fiance will be going for her interview next monday and submit my I134.   

 

Does anyone know what the embassy will say/do about me signing a support from ten years ago??

 

I earn in the six digits supporting two kids.  Fiance has a child.  That makes five and then my mother

First things first, your income sounds like it will be more than sufficient even if you must count her in your household size.

 

Next...is the I-864 you signed for her still active? Below are the circumstances where your obligation on the I-864 terminates:

1) Becomes a U.S. citizen;

2) Has worked, or can receive credit for, 40 quarters of coverage under the Social Security Act;

3) No longer has lawful permanent resident status and has departed the United States;

4) Is subject to removal, but applies for and obtains, in removal proceedings, a new grant of adjustment of status, based on a new affidavit of support, if one is required; or

5) Dies.

 

If the I-864 for her is still active, then you must include her in your household size. If not, then you don't need to include her.

Including my mother's affidavit of support I am still way over the needed amount.

 

Do we think CO at interview will look at it in a negative way or I make plenty of money and not a big deal??

The CO will look at the totality of the circumstances to determine if there is a public charge concern. If your income is as you have stated - barring a reason for the CO believe you have significant out of pocket expenses to offset that income - it shouldn't be an issue.
