hi johna may I know what is the update on your case? I think we have the same situation mine was we filed for a K1 visa last year December 2017 and the USCIS received it December 22 2017, he got the receipt number but he wasn't told me. not a chance to get that number to check the status because we broke up February this year. however, he received the receipt before break up. I told him to call the embassy for the cancellation of the petition and he said he did and said that they will cancel it anyway if he don't respond. Im concern that it didn't cancelled properly because there's no written explanation of withdrawal. and If he don't write to the embassy can I write to cancel it anyway? I am not updated since we stopped conversing more than a month now and I know he is done with me, we are approved for I-129F after that break up happened. and Im also concern if this will affect me on doing another K1 in the future? what is the best way to do? hope someone have the answer.. Thanks

Hi everyone,

Hope someone can help me here,

We filed for a K1 visa last year December 2017 and the USCIS received it December 22 2017, he got the receipt number but he wasn't told me. not a chance to get that number to check the status because we broke up February this year. however, he received the receipt before break up. I told him to call the embassy for the cancellation of the petition and he said he did and said that they will cancel it anyway if he don't respond. Im concern that it didn't cancelled properly because there's no written explanation of withdrawal. and If he don't write to the embassy can I write to cancel it anyway? I am not updated since we stopped conversing more than a month now and I know he is done with me, we are approved for I-129F after that break up happened. and Im also concern if this could affect me on doing another K1 visa in the future? what is the best way to do? hope someone have the answer.. Thanks

Well first of all, I‘m sorry you guys broke up!

With the visa, it will be canceled anyways after not responding to any of their NOA etc.

And also, since I don‘t think you will have(or maybe I should say should have) somebody petition for a K1 for you in the very near future you shouldn’t be worried.

Because you need to establish a relationship and be SURE about somebody if you have serious intent to get married.

If you really meet somebody again who would file a petition for you in the future I don‘t think you will have anything to worry about because you never followed thru with your  recent K1 and never needed it.

Please anyone correct me if I‘m wrong
