...BTW, Are you ready for the Spurs vs. Suns matchup? :D

Indeed we are !

Just want to say to all the Dallas fans that San Antonio has the UTMOST respect and love for The Little General. We never forgave Pop for trading him away. AJ could get elected mayor down here !

And we always used to cheer for the Mavs. Right up until this guy (below) -- he's the ultimate bad sport and his evil stink attitude is jinxing the whole team.

I used to live in San Antonio briefly and frankly anybody BUT San Antonio actually would be fine to me. Tim Duncan is such a whiner and Ginobili is overrated. I like Tony Parker though, but he needs to stop with his "rapping" career.

Now now.... we had to listen to Mavs fans talk trash all year. But look who's doing the whining, and look who was completely over-rated.

However, I concede the point on Tony's rap career :P

Enjoy the memories !

I always knew there was something I did not like about the Spurs. Looks like Bruce elBowen and "big cheap shot Bob" are showing the Spurs have some dirty players. Not to mention Tim Duncan bringing up the rear with his incessant whining.

Spurs Motto: If you can't beat Steve Nash on the court, just beat him up!

I'm cautious about calling anyone a dirty player, but after I viewed several clips of Bruce Bowen, I'm convinced that he is deliberate in making contact in order slow down or hurt his opponent.

I agree but numerous players have called both Bowen and Horry dirty. Horry has been dirty since his days with the Rockets as well. Not to mention Horry could have braced Nash's fall! We all knew there was a foul coming, but come on, a forearm into the scorer's table????????

I like Barkely and I respect his opinion. He says that he personally likes Robert Horry, but it was a flagrant foul. Michael Jordan was known for grabbing his opponent's jersey when the ref's weren't looking.

Yes I agreed with Barkley's assessment last night too and the NBA needs to stop applying rules in a draconian manner. I really hope Stoudemire and Diaw are not suspended. Horry was the one way out of line and if anyone gets tossed it should be Horry. Too, Steve Kerr had an interesting article and he reports that both Tim Duncan and Bowen left the San Antonio bench in the second quarter as well. So if the NBA does indeed decide to blindly apply the no leaving the bench rule, then I expect them to apply it equally and across the board.

Here's from a blogger regarding the incident last night...

For those fans trying to use Duncan steping onto the floor in the 2nd quarter as a way to get him suspended, think again. Here is a bit of information, since most of you do not research anything before posting your thoughts.

NBA rule states: "Any player who leaves the bench during a fight is automatically suspended for a minimum of one game and fined a maximum of $20,000; in addition to losing 1/82nd of his salary for each game, he is suspended"

Key word here is "FIGHT", watch your youtube all day long, and show me a fight that happened when Duncan moved out onto the floor. CORRECT, there was not one...

Pray, league officials call what happened at the end of the game a confrontation, and not a fight...hahah

It is not fair, the Spurs get rewarded for dirty play. I think it would have been better to suspend Stoudemire and Diaw at the beginning of the next series instead of during this series as to not reward Horry for the flagrant foul. It is a win-win for dirty players when a bench-warmer can get two starters suspended in the playoffs. The NBA could have fined Stoudemire and Diaw for now, and then followed up with a suspension in the next round. I think this sets a bad precedent.
