I'm LPR and filed a petition for my husband, PD August 21, 2017. As i checked visa bulletin for this coming April, our PD will be current n the 2nd chart (date for filing). Im wondering how could it be possible and/or what to do since we havent heard or no decision yet from uscis regarding our application. What's  taking uscis (csc) so long to process or approve application? 

It'd be of great help for Any thoughts and suggestions. 😉

Your PD is current according to the first chart (Final Action Dates). They cannot issue a visa before that date as there is not a visa number available yet. For consular processing, chart B is just a date for when you can start submitting information to NVC if your petition is already approved....but again it won't proceed until the PD is actually current.

Any idea why california service center is taking time to approve an application? Based n uscis website, it is currently processing November 21, 2016 for i-130. Its so slow compared to other service centers. And it seems it not really updated. Its post is as of january 2018.

As for why, it's generally a backlog issue. Some service centers are more backlogged than others, and there are backlogs across the board with USCIS right now.

Awww... so even having a current PD in chart 2 bulletin is useless for us since application is not approved yet. 😔
