N400 for couple not processed together?

Hello everyone,

 

My wife and I submitted N400 together in November and did biometrics in December. 

 

Last week I received a letter for interview (weirdly the online statues jumped from "biometrics done" to "interview scheduled" directly, and skipped "inline for interview")

 

My wife's online status remain "biometrics done".

 

Since we have a summer travel plan in July, I am a little bit nervous how long it will take for my wife to have her interview scheduled.

 

Is it going to be helpful if I ask during my interview? and how long the two application can be separated apart in processing time?

Since N400 is an individual process, it is not surprising that you and your wife’s forms possibly ended up on different people’s desks.  Not really sure if asking about it will do anything since it may not be the same officer handling both.  Hopefully, your wife’s case will come up quickly.

Myself and my husband filed on the same day. Our biometrics appointments were 1 day apart. We received our interview letters on the same day. They are on the same day but 3 hours apart.
