The embassy will send an instruction to you after they received your petition. Which country are you from?

You can take a look at it and start gather documents that you can gather. But, some of it, you need to wait until you get your case number before you can proceed.

Kenya embassy packet 3 is not available online. The embassy will email to you directly. However, documents needed for K-1 visa for every embassy is quite the same. Even mine, packet 3 from Malaysia is the same like packet 3 Korea.

 

Can refer more info about Kenya embassy here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Kenya&cty=Nairobi, Kenya&entry=8 since some of them said that embassy take long time to email the instruction

Hello,

I just realized that I made some errors on my i130 application after sending it to the lockbox. The error was on Part 4, asking about beneficiary's previous marriages. I entered my information, which I found to be wrong because I am the petitioner. I am a US citizen, filing for my foreign spouse. I sent a letter to USCIS Service Center in Potomac with reference of the case number and my case has been updated today as: "USCIS received your correspondence. We are reviewing it and will send you a notice if we need something from you."

My question is how long it will take them to update this status again???

Has anyone submitted corrections before? What were the outcomes

congrats on your NOA-2 now you wait for a case number generated by the NVC and all your info should be sent to Nairobi for processing.  When they do generate a case number make sure the first three letters of the case are NRB (for Nairobi) since Kampala embassy does not process K1 Visas!

Thk so much for the reply, Did they send your packets direct to u or by email?

It's been a month n week waiting for the next step but all in vain.

I called and they gave me a case number wch ofcourse starts with NRB....Do you know what next?
