AOS Interview today.

Greetings all

 

My wife has her Interview today (Actually this very moment).  We had everything ready to go and the notice we received said that I must attend the interview as well.  When they finally called us in the woman said that they didn’t need me and to wait in the lobby.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Most things I have read about interviews is that they ask many questions to the petitioner.  I am sure she will do fine it just surprised that I wasn’t allow to attend as the spouse when she entered the US on a family (K-1) Visa.

hope it is not stoke interview. If you have everything, joint documents etc. I think you should be fine.

The interview lasted about 15 minutes.   She said they asked a lot of questions. She retured with a piece of paper that stated her application was recommended for approval. So I guess everything went well. 😀

Congratulations!!    Yeah,  i guess you were lucky they didn't want you to participate in the interview with your spouse. During my wife interview they didn't ask her many questions, but the officer drilled me and interrogated me during the entire interview process.

Hi congrats on the interview process  we are going in soon our question his my did the medical in his home country it will be one year dose he have to get a 2 one again

Everything I read on the USCIS website says that if you apply for an AOS within 1 year of the exam you are not required to get another.  My wife’s exam is older than one year now and they never asked for another.

Thank you.  I guess I could consider myself lucky.  My wife did say that the interview officer was not very pleasant. Just asked for documents to support our marriage.  She said that she just added all of the documents to what appeared to be the file that was started from the K-1 application
