Hello everyone,

this forum seems super helpful but also gives me anxiety ;-) I feel for everyone here, looking for advice or someone to say: YOU'LL BE FINE!

I'm here to get some advice:

I have a Greencard and in 6 months, me and my wife need to file for removal of condition.

My partner is a producer/writer and we had a health scare. She's now thinking about taking a break and going on unemployment until we go into production in fall.

We are certain she will be back on her feet late summer but it would be good for her to take a break and to rest.

Will a stint on unemployment affect my petition?

Thanks for the help :-)

I hope she's better soon :)

No, the affidavit of support was submitted for AOS (or prior if CR1). The removal of conditions focuses on evidence supporting your marriage, no evidence of continued employment is needed.

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey
