we are applying for k1,do we need to have the letter of intent?or should i bring one during the interview?

Timeline

Yes, you include it in the package when sending it in. There should be one from both of you. I used the example letter in the guides. Also, you will need to have another one with more recent dates for the interview.

According to the K1 Guide/Checklist (#5)...you'll need one for the petition, and you'll need one for the interview (one each from both of you). :thumbs:

Excerpt from the guides:

5. Original statements (from both the US Citizen and foreign fiancé) certifying an intent to marry within 90 days of entering the US on a valid K-1 (see example)

oh..is it needed during the interview..?i never prepare for that letter..hhmm i don't know too if my fiancee submitted one when he sends the application...but we got approved now with the k1 petition and the nvc forwarded it already,were just waiting a respond from the embassy.do i need to bring it during the interview?how many days allowance will the embassy give after they will send the packet and before the schedule of the interview?

They won't schedule an interview until you return Packet 3.
