Mistake of NVC

Hi all, 

Yesterday, my wife called the NVC to check if everything is going well. But they told her that our DS260 was still showing incomplete which was not true. She talked to a supervisor who said that it their fault and that they will put the case in line for processing and that they won't penalize us since it was their fault. How long from now will it take to get the case completed? Thank you

They said the same thing to me last night also. When is your SD? Ours is December 7th so I know they quite aren’t to that date yet.

Actually. They didn't tell us about the SD. How can we find that out? Does it mean the day when they received they paper work?

Yes when they put your documents into their system. Sometimes it’s a couple days after they receive your paperwork. It took them about 2 days to put ours into the system after they received it in the mail.

Yep. I have just asked my wife and she said they put it in the system on the 13th of December. Wish you good luck Scarlett. It seems like we have almost the same SD.

FB2 is for unmarried sissters and brothers?  

that will take a while 

is this for a spouse Visa and labeled wrong on your profile ?

If so, you are within the guidelines still as you filed in February

It takes a year or longer for a CR1 (spouse) visa to get to embassy for interview

 

NVC received case in November and with all the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year) there is always a holdup

Mine is for a spouse visa and I understand that we are still within the 11 weeks but the rep did state that it’s a problem that they can’t see the DS-260 form as being completed on their system. In my thinking that means to me that I could be bypassed in the review of documents since they won’t review the documents till they receive that form. So I will be calling again soon to make sure that this issue is fixed for my case.
