Not far from you. Portland Oregon, I filed in February and heard nothing until 4 days ago when I was placed in line for interview, then today I received an email saying they have sent me an interview appointment letter. I’m currently in the UK so I hope it’s not scheduled fo a couple of weeks. Hang in there, it’s seems to be taking forever right now

Thank you for your response.  Seems like Portland is a little faster than Seattle.  Good luck to you!!

I'm so sorry it's taking you so long. I do know that the average is around 10 months to get an interview from people who I know that works as a congressional case worker.

But I applied in November and my interview is scheduled for January. I believe my case is an anomaly.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).
