Hello again,

Just asking a quick question about the Packet 3, is it correct that u send the DS-230 first? and then once u have all the documents u mail off the form saying you are ready for the interview.. because that's what i did two days ago :(

Cheers

Hi Andy,

I hope it is correct too, because I just sent the DS-230 today. And then when you collect all other documents you send them the form saying you are ready. (that is what it shows in the instructions).

Depends on consulate, most seem to just want DS-230 part 1 and check list (OF-169 or DS-2001) Returned. The check list tells them you are ready for packet 4, and interview. DS-230 part 2 may be requested mailed or brought to the interview, unsigned.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hi Thanks for your replies, I am filing in london and my packet 3 didnt come with DS-230 part 2. Should i print it and take it with me when i have the interview?

When i do mail off the form saying im ready, do i enclose evidence of my relationship with my wife? and are photos ok? or does it have to be letters etc.

Cheers!

I sent the DS-230 part 1 and the checklist but nothing else. I don't think you need to send evidence of relationship with your wife at this stage - that was done in the I-130 wasn't it?

Hmm, i havent given any evidence of my relationship. I think i will send the Checklist tomorrow...even though i'm having problems with my wifes I-864, as she was a student. We just have no idea what to fill in because she was working part time over here when she finished her course. Does that count? or would it be better to write a letter explaining why she hasnt had any income.

This whole process is starting to give me headaches!!

Thanks again for replying.

Only her ongoing income, that would continue in the US, may be used. She can write a letter detailing the work she did there and add that to her I-864.

If she has no income, she'll need some assets or a Joint Sponsor.
