Hello everyone. Do I need to get a Police Clearance Certificate from Japan? I went to that country on a working visa from 2001 to 2006. Japan issued working visa on a maximum stay of 6 months. I have to exit Japan after that 6 months period and return to my country. Then, I traveled again after they issued a 6 months working visa again.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Thank you very much.

If the country provides police certificates, then you would need to get a police certificate from each country that you have resided for at least 6 months since the age of 16.

It's actually every country you'ved lived in for a year or more, plus your home country, but it sounds like OP lived in Japan for 6 months plus another 6 months, so yes, they need a police certificate.
