I recently received a Request for Evidence from USCIS for my i485 application stating that i need to send a complete feferal income tax return submitted to IRS for the recent tax year. Can i submit the documents submitted by H&R block (1040) to IRS or request for a return transcript from IRS to make it official. I just need to be sure of what i send. Thanks

You can get a tax transcript from the IRS. Many people can just download that directly.

It will be a tax transcript, which USCIS and embassies will accept.

A 1040 can be included instead of a transcript, but by itself doesn't mean anything without also providing all W-2/schedules/etc. to back it up (a 1040 could be written up but never actually filed). See the pages 7-8 of the I-864 instructions for details regarding using a tax transcript OR the 1040 + W-2s/1099s.

I got the w2, 1099 together with other forms filed by h&R block, will just submit that together with the Return transcript from IRS. I did my biometrics already , will this request for evidence affect the release of my Ead? Or is it tototally dependent with my work p ermit

Your I-765 will pause processing once an RFE/RFIE is issued, and resume once they get the response.

Since it was an RFIE, they "timer" of when you can submit a service request for the EAD being out of normal processing timeframes resets. From personal observations, it doesn't actually reset how long it takes to get approval, though.

Hi once again, regarding my RFIE, i express mailed the documents this Monday Nov 27. Based on USPS tracking app, they received it at 9:49am the following day Tuesday Nov 28 and a person signed for it. I would just like to know if they will send me a notice or letter that they have received the RFIE, i haven't received any notice yet as of today Dec 2. I checked my case status online and this is what it says....Screenshot_20171201-135038.thumb.jpg.c4a663b28673a721b0666d3551604a4a.jpg

Thank you so much.
