I work in construction. Specifically, I'm a carpenter, a union carpenter. Sometimes I am laid off and I may work for multiple companies in a year. This is normal for my line of work but my fiance and I are concerned it may  effect our visa. I've met the financial standards that are provided for applying for a k1 visa but we're still looking for any advice on this with someone who knows or has a similar experience. Thank you!

Depending on how sporadic your employment, it may or may not affect your case. As long as you can prove consistent funds coming in, it shouldnt be an issue (in theory). If you are concerned, there are other forms of evidence you can use to support your case that are not work related.
