I don't know I think they wanted his social media stuff and such. I only glanced the post from my cousin and I remember why would they want social media and such. Sorry I did not follow it up, this happened a couple of months or so ago.

As for Canada its a different country and many people are choosing to leave the USA, scared of new laws here..... or so  I saw in a news report a couple of months ago.

As for countries  Egypt and probably Turkey may be the ones that raise flags, I doubt it would be Thailand.   It's today's climate I'm afraid.  The only thing you can do now is apply for a B1 visa. If it's not a CIMT you shouldn't really have a problem, but I'm not the agent who will interview so I cannot guarantee it. You can't lose anything by applying though.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

It's perfectly fine, no need to apologise.

Yeah, I've heard something about that recently.

Yeah, it's probably Turkey and Egypt that raised the flag. Hopefully they do check out my social media accounts and realise that I simply enjoy travelling. Yeah, I'm hoping it wont be a problem - especially considering that I was never charged in the first place.

I'll probably pay for a police report in the upcoming days, then I'll apply for a B2 visa.

Itinerary:

House ownership papers to prove that I'm the owner

Bank statement

Police record

Passport sized photo

Passport

Receipt

The form

What additional papers should I bring? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just so nervous.

Again, thanks for replying, mate.

Just came to a realisation that the DS-160 form asks you to give an address of where you're staying in the States. How am I supposed to answer that if I haven't booked anything? It doesn't make much sense to book it before you find out whether your visa was approved or not.

Does not ask you to book anything.

  1. Sorry can't help. I came to the USA on a K1 visa and I'm a resident.  However,  I would put N/A into the box for your first nights stay, as its not booked yet. One thing which would be quite important is to show your finances, they will want to see your income and such, they want to know you can afford to pay for hotels etc. It's one of the questions they will ask you at your interview and also when you land.    Wish I could be more helpful, but unfortunately not really had this experience.  As for as the police report there are two types, what was the old CRB and also ACRO. I should imagine they want ACRO.     https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.asp
  2. This link may help too https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/application-process-b-1-b-2-visitor-visa.html

Unfortunately I have not applied for a B2 or been denied a ESTA,  but I do know how border control work here..    They are just concerned that you can support yourself on your trip and that you wont stay.

Your list looks fine, you can get the chance to explain everything at the interview and ask questions.

Oh and by the way, I'm a girl, 2nd time I have been referred to as a male today.  The guy in the photo is my hubby. Funny!!

Any way good luck!

Thank you so much for your attention and detailed responses.

Yeah, I guess I'll just have to take a trip to my local bank and ask them for a bank statement. Not only that, but I'll also bring along a certificate that will prove that I'm a house owner. Yeah, I guess I'll also bring all of those documents with me to the States, if I do manage to get a visa.

Me and my friends frequently travel to different countries at least once a year. This year we've all decided to visit New York, but I didn't expect my ESTA to get rejected, as they all got their ESTA application accepted. They're all waiting on me and I don't want to let them down. Never overstayed on any of my visa's that I've needed to obtain to visit other countries such as Egypt and Thailand. I'm a football (soccer) guy, but I'd love to go and watch an MLS game and an NBA game. So keen on visiting the Museum of Natural History! Heard there's also a lot of Ancient Egyptian art in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I'm fascinated by Ancient Egypt and that's the main reason why I visited Egypt. You think it'd be wise to bring that all up when the ask why I want to travel to the States?

I'm so sorry, I assumed that you were the male in your profile photo! Haha

Again, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to reply!

Most unusual to be asked for any addition paper work. Or allowed to show it.

Questions are perfunctory, just a few.

Chancesa re it will be over before you realise it has started.

Yeah, I read that a lot of people haven't even been asked to show their papers to the interviewer.

Thanks for your reply, mate!
